Current Strengths

Pioneer of circular denim — Lease A Jeans (now closed to new subscriptions), MUD ReLoved resale, Jeans for Recycling take-back, B Corp certification, and post-consumer recycled fiber program.

Opportunity

Expand inseam options to include a dedicated 28" length.

Challenge

"PWW challenges MUD Jeans to extend its circular leadership by offering dedicated shorter inseams."

Progress over perfection. Improvement over purity. Accountability without cynicism.

Inseam is L32 only. W28 available but needs hemming to 28". Worth it given B Corp + full SEG credentials.

About MUD Jeans

MUD Jeans pioneered the circular denim model. Their Lease A Jeans program — lease a pair, return them, and they become the next pair — is now closed to new subscriptions (existing leases run to June 2027); circular options today center on MUD ReLoved resale and the Jeans for Recycling take-back. Founded in the Netherlands, they are B Corp certified, Fair Wear Foundation members, and use post-consumer recycled denim. The lease model structurally decoupled revenue from volume, making them one of the most economically aligned denim brands in the world.

📏 Fit Notes

W28 is available across most styles, but the standard inseam is L32 (~79.5cm). There is no dedicated 28" inseam option — hemming will be required for shorter inseams. Despite the hemming requirement, the overall ethics and circular model make this worth the tailoring cost.
